Philadelphia Lone Star FC U20 Unveil 2026 USL Academy Fixtures

Philadelphia Lone Star FC has officially announced the 2026 fixtures for its Under-20 team, the Young Stars, as they prepare to return for their third full season in the USL Academy League, one of the most competitive youth and pre-professional development platforms in the United States.

Mid-Atlantic Division Competition

The Young Stars will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Division, a 7-team conference featuring some of the top youth and pre-professional clubs across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia Lone Star will play 12 regular season matches, facing strong opponents including:

  • FC Copa Academy
  • FC Motown STA
  • Lancaster FC
  • Morris Elite
  • Ocean City Nor’easters
  • PA Classics

The competitive division continues to provide a strong platform for elite youth development while preparing players for the next level of the game.

Building on a Strong 2025 Campaign

The Young Stars enter the 2026 season following an impressive 2025 campaign, where the team finished second in the division with an 8-0-4 (W-D-L) record.

Their strong performance earned the club an invitation to the USL Academy Invitational, where Philadelphia Lone Star recorded a 1-1-1 record against some of the top academy programs in the country.

With valuable experience gained from that run, the squad will look to build on last season’s success and push even further in 2026.

Coaching Leadership and Player Pathway

The Young Stars will once again be led by Head Coach Fatoma Turay, who also serves as the head coach of the club’s senior team competing in USL League Two.

The dual role helps strengthen the development pathway between the academy and the first team, giving young players the opportunity to progress within the club’s structure.

“The USL Academy League provides one of the best environments for developing young players in the country. Our goal is to compete at the highest level while preparing these players for the next stage of their careers. Last season showed the quality within this group, and we are excited to build on that foundation this year.” – Fatoma Turay, Head Coach, PLSFC U20

Home Doubleheaders with the First Team

Supporters will have multiple opportunities to watch both the Young Stars and the USL2 First Team in action on the same day during the 2026 season.

Philadelphia Lone Star will host four home doubleheaders on the following dates:

  • May 9
  • June 6
  • June 28
  • July 11

These matchdays will showcase the club’s full development pathway, highlighting academy prospects alongside the senior squad.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As Philadelphia Lone Star continues to strengthen its academy structure, the Young Stars remain an important part of the club’s long-term player development model.

With a challenging schedule, experienced leadership, and a motivated group of players, the team will aim to improve on last year’s strong finish and compete for the top spot in the Mid-Atlantic Division during the 2026 USL Academy League season.
