Match Report
Our Shooting Stars began their UPSL American Premier Division Spring 2021 season with a 2-0 win at home against Westchester United FC at the YSC Sports Stadium in Wayne, PA.
Second-half substitute Hadj Ballo, making his debut for the Shooting Stars, scored a beauty in the 60th minute to put his side ahead before completing his brace and sealing the win in added time.
He was assisted on both goals by Edwin Teah and Lloyd Seka.
Last Fall’s top scorer, Lansana Doumbouya, missed a first-half penalty while goalkeeper Goodwill Agbaadem was exceptional in goal, earning his first clean sheet of the season with a solid backline of defensive midfielders and defenders who put their bodies on the line for the win.
Next up for the Shooting Stars is the Philadelphia Derby against fierce local rivals Salone FC on Saturday, April 17 at 5:00pm at the Proving Grounds in Conshohocken, PA. Salone FC lost their season opener 3-0 away to FSA Pro.
